Man wounded in Pacoima shooting

PACOIMA (CNS) – A man was wounded today at a motorcycle shop in Pacoima,
and the alleged gunman turned himself in a few minutes later at the Los
Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Station.
Officers sent to the 10200 block of San Fernando Road shortly before 10
a.m. on a report of a shooting found a man in his 30s with a gunshot wound to
the abdomen, according to the LAPD.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was stable this afternoon,
police said. His name was not released.
“Several minutes after the shooting occurred, an individual matching
the description of the suspect walked into the front lobby of Foothill Station
and turned himself in,” police said. “The suspect was taken into custody
without further incident.”
The suspect, in his early 70s, was arrested, but had not been booked as
of early this afternoon, a police officer at the LAPD’s Foothill Station said.
His name also was not released.
The men apparently knew one another, and had been involved in an ongoing
dispute, the officer said.
