Over the course of 2017, good friends Dave Chappelle & John Mayer, one an Emmy Award-winning comedian, the other a GRAMMY® Award-winning musician, have played several intimate pop-up shows across the United States. Now, Live Nation is pleased to announce that the two world-class performers will be bringing their unique music and comedy hybrid to an arena stage for the first time, as they present Controlled Danger at the Forum on New Year’s Eve 2017.
The first half of the New Year’s Eve performance features a solo musical set by John Mayer, and a solo comedy set by Dave Chappelle. The real magic happens during the second half of the evening when both performers join together on stage for songs, stories, improvised dancing, and more. That is to say—hilarity ensues.
Ring in 2018 with two of the greatest creative minds working today, for a night that you won’t soon forget. Celebrations will include a balloon drop at midnight, and of course, party favors.
