A burglary charge was dismissed Wednesday against a South Carolina woman accused of getting into rapper Drake’s Hidden Hills home and helping herself to some of the rapper’s beverages.
Mesha Collins, 24, was ordered to be released from custody after the prosecution announced it was unable to proceed with a first-degree residential
burglary charge against her, according to Ricardo Santiago of the Los Angeles
County District Attorney’s Office.
He said he had no information on why the case was dropped.
Collins was arrested about 10:30 a.m. April 3, according to Sgt. Matthew Dunn of the sheriff’s Malibu-Lost Hills station. There was no sign of forced entry to the home, he said.
While inside, she allegedly helped herself to a bottle of Fiji water, a Pepsi and a Sprite.
Drake wasn’t home at the time, and when confronted by a property manager, Collins said she had received permission to be there, according to the sergeant.
