A 72-year-old woman killed in a hit-and-run crash in Glendale was publicly identified Saturday. The victim was Novar Ismailyan of Glendale, coroner’s Lt. Nani Cholakians said.
Officers responded at 7:20 p.m. Friday to the intersection of Glenoaks Boulevard and Linden Avenue and located the woman, pronounced dead at the scene, Sgt. Dan Suttles of the Glendale Police Department said.
The area where Ismailyan was struck was described as a “very dark” portion of Glenoaks Boulevard, Suttles said.
Detectives have video of the woman walking in the area shortly before she was struck, but do not have video of the crash, Suttles said.
They ask for witnesses or anyone with surveillance video of the crash to come forward.
A description of the suspect or suspect’s vehicle was not available, Suttles said.
