He’s one of the world’s greatest crime fighters, but now Iron Man is one of the world’s most famous crime victims.

The original red-and-gold costume worn by Robert Downey Jr. in the original 2008 “Iron Man” film has disappeared from a Pacoima warehouse.

Los Angeles police Officer Christopher No said the costume, believed to be worth an estimated $325,000, was reported missing Tuesday. He said the costume vanished sometime between February and April 25 from the prop-storage facility in the 13000 block of Weidner Street.

CBS2 reported Tuesday night that owners of the warehouse remembered seeing the suit in storage in February, then noticed it was missing this week.

No word on whether the Avengers have assembled to join the search, but Los Angeles police asked anyone with information to contact the LAPD Foothill Station.

In other news, a man died after crashing into a freeway wall in Burbank.
