A man suspected of fatally stabbing a woman in an Atwater Village apartment during what may have been a family fight remained at large Wednesday.

Constance Mangham, 66, was found dead about 11 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of Veselich Avenue, according to the coroner’s office.

Mangham had been stabbed multiple times, according to Los Angeles police Officer Jeff Lee.

Police did not release any information about the suspect, but neighbors told KTLA5 they believe the suspect, identified only as a man, is a relative of Mangham.

Authorities told the station the woman’s body was found by the manager of the Los Feliz Village apartment complex who responded to the unit in response to complaints about a loud commotion. Police were called, but the woman was determined to be dead at the scene.

Anyone with information on the case was urged to call detectives at (323) 561-3410.

In other news, a woman killed in a North Hills hit and run was identified.
