Authorities Tuesday identified a man who was killed when he fell from an overpass onto the Foothill (210) Freeway in Pasadena and was run over by vehicles.
Marlon Montgomery, 49, died at the scene of his injury, which occurred about 10 p.m. Sunday on the westbound freeway at Lake Avenue, the coroner’s office reported. His home town was not known.
Montgomery was walking on the Lake Avenue overpass and climbed over the east side gate and onto the highway signs above the freeway, California Highway Patrol Officer M. Garcia said. He then fell off the highway sign onto the No. 2 freeway lane, Garcia said.
The circumstances of the death remained under investigation.
