One man was shot dead and another one critically wounded in a shooting in the Valley Glen area of Los Angeles, police said Sunday.
Both victims were men in their 50s and it was not immediately known if the shooting was gang related, said Officer Norma Eisenman at the Los Angeles Police Department Media Relations Section.
It was reported at 8:51 p.m. Saturday in the 6700 block of Greenbush Avenue, said Police Services Representative S. Ball of the Van Nuys Station said.
The suspect was described as wearing a dark hoodie and khaki pants, she said.
The killing was just south of Vanowen Street, about 4 blocks east of Woodman Avenue.
In other news, a man was hospitalized after lighting himself on fire in Los Angeles.
