‘Mission Impossible- Fallout’ Tops Box Office With $35.3M

The latest Tom Cruise “Mission Impossible” movie enjoyed a second weekend at the top of the box office race, according to revised numbers out Monday.

“Mission Impossible – Fallout” made $35.3 million Friday through Sunday at theaters in the United States and Canada for a 10-day total of $124 million, the industry tracking group comScore reported.

A pair of premiering movies held the next two spots: “Disney’s Christopher Robin” at $24.5 million, and “The Spy Who Dumped Me” at $12.1 million.

With a $9 million gross last weekend, “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again” had a fourth-place finish, and has $91.2 million banked over three weeks.

“The Equalizer 2” was just behind in fifth place with $8.7 million.

Rounding out the 10 most-popular movies last weekend were “Hotel Transylvania 3” ($8 million), “Ant-Man And The Wasp” ($6.3 million), “The Darkest Minds” (premiering at $5.8 million), “Incredibles 2” ($4.9 million) and  “Teen Titans Go! To The Movies” ($4.7 million).
