Authorities Monday identified a woman who was fatally injured when the car she was driving collided with a big rig on the northbound Glendale (2) Freeway in Glendale.
The crash occurred about 1:50 p.m. Friday just south of Mountain Street, according to the California Highway Patrol
Celeste Milby, 69, of Altadena died at a hospital, the coroner’s office reported.
According to the CHP, Milby, driving a 2004 Acura, was attempting to exit at Mountain Street at an unknown speed when the car collided with a 2012 Peterbilt truck that was going about 55 mph in the No. 5 lane of traffic.
The Acura somehow struck the left side of the big rig, causing both vehicles to go across all lanes of traffic and crash into the center divider, the CHP reported.

In other news, an LAPD officer was charged with three counts of murder.
