2017 World Police & Fire Games Bowling Competition Concludes Today At Pinz In Studio City

The bowling competition in the 2017 World Police & Fire Games will conclude Friday at Pinz Bowling Center in Studio City while the three-day dodgeball competition will begin at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

Also beginning Friday are the dragon boat races at Santa Fe Dam in Irwindale.

The day’s other events include basketball, boxing, darts and volleyball at the Los Angeles Convention Center, a cycling race in Castaic, horseshoe tossing at Richard Rioux Park in Santa Clarita, pocket billiards at Hard Times Billiards in Bellflower, rugby at the Balboa Sports Center in Encino, pistol shooting at the Los Angeles Police Academy in Elysian Park and Pitchess Detention Center in Santa Clarita, softball at Big League Dreams in West Covina, swimming at the Exposition Park Swim Stadium, tennis at Griffith Park, and track and field at West Los Angeles College.

The 11-day Olympics-style competition for active and retired police officers and firefighters will continue through Wednesday.

In other news, an LAPD officer was charged for having a sexual relationship with a 15-year-old cadet.
